π· Best Jazz Bars in Bangkok (2026)
π· Best Jazz Bars in Bangkok (2026) Bangkok nightlife isn't only about rooftops and nightclubs. If you're looking for great live music, good drinks and a completely different side of the city, Bangkok has a surprisingly diverse Jazz scene. π·πΈ Instead of forcing everything into a Top 10, we're ranking these venues A / B+ / B based on where we'd actually recommend to friends.

Jazz and Live Music in Bangkok
Bangkok nightlife isn't only about mega-clubs, rooftops and cocktail bars.
There's another side of the city that many first-time visitors don't expect to find in such variety: Jazz and live music. π·
For this guide, we're deliberately NOT making another: βTop 10 Jazz Bars in Bangkokβ list.
Why?
Because comparing every Jazz Bar as if they're offering the same experience doesn't make much sense. One venue might have better music. Another might be perfect for a date. Another might have excellent cocktails. Some are intimate and affordable. Others are luxurious and expensive.

How We Rate These Jazz Bars
So instead, we're using a simple system:
- π °οΈ A β Highly Recommended
- π ±οΈ+ B+ β Very Good
- π ±οΈ B β Good, But Check the Night
This isn't a ranking based purely on awards or Google ratings.
It's based primarily on the experiences we'd actually recommend to our friends.

π °οΈ A β Highly Recommended
π· Alone Together
One of our favorite Jazz Bars in Bangkok.
The music, interior and atmosphere come together particularly well, making Alone Together one of our favorite options for a Jazz Date Night.
There are some downsides.
It's relatively expensive and the venue isn't particularly large, so seating can be limited.
Getting a good seat can make a noticeable difference to the experience.
Best for: Date Night / Jazz / Cocktails / Upscale Casual
πΊ Saxophone Pub & Restaurant
Saxophone has been part of Bangkok's live music landscape for decades.
And unlike many newer luxury Jazz venues, it isn't trying to impress you with a glamorous hotel setting.
Its strengths are simpler: Music + Atmosphere + Value
Expect Jazz, Blues and talented musicians in a lively, approachable environment.
It's also considerably more affordable than many of Bangkok's luxury Jazz experiences.
π‘ Local Tip
Personally, cocktails aren't why we'd come here.
We'd order a beer or a simple drink and focus on the music. πΊ
Best for: Music Lovers / Jazz / Blues / Value for Money

π© Abandoned Mansion
This one requires a little explanation.
We wouldn't describe Abandoned Mansion as a pure Jazz Bar because its music programming varies.
But we're still giving it an A because of the overall experience.
The underground, mafia-era-inspired interior gives the venue a distinctive personality, while live music, food and drinks allow you to build an entire evening around one location.
It's particularly useful if you're traveling with someone who enjoys live music but isn't necessarily a serious Jazz listener.
One downside from our experience: food and drinks can sometimes take a while to arrive.
Best for: Date Night / Live Music / Dinner / Photography / First-Time Visitors
πΆ Bangkok Mojo β Music Lovers' Club
The name explains a lot: Music Lovers' Club.
Bangkok Mojo is an interesting choice for people who care about the performance and want something less formal than a luxury hotel Jazz lounge.
It's also one of the venues we'd like to see more people discover.
Best for: Music Lovers / Casual Night / Live Performance
π½οΈ Din Restaurant and Jazz Bar
Din makes sense when you don't want to separate dinner from your Jazz night.
Have dinner, enjoy the atmosphere and stay for the music instead of moving between multiple venues.
That makes it particularly convenient for a relaxed Date Night.
Best for: Dinner + Jazz / Date Night / Relaxed Evening

π ±οΈ+ B+ β Very Good
πΈ 008 Bar
008 combines two experiences: Speakeasy + Jazz
Cocktail quality is one of its biggest strengths, alongside the interior and overall atmosphere.
It's particularly strong when you want Jazz without sacrificing the cocktail experience.
Best for: Cocktail Lovers / Date Night / Speakeasy
π₯ Crimson Room
For a more glamorous, upscale Jazz experience, Crimson Room is worth considering.
It's a venue for a night when you actually want to dress up, enjoy live music and make the setting part of the experience.
Best for: Luxury / Date Night / Live Music / Photography
π The Bamboo Bar
One of the historic names associated with Bangkok Jazz.
The important thing to understand is that The Bamboo Bar sits inside a luxury hotel, so you're paying luxury-hotel prices as part of the experience.
We're giving it B+ rather than A not because it's a bad venue, but because when Value + Experience are considered together, there are other places we'd personally recommend first.
If budget isn't a concern and you're looking for a classic luxury Jazz experience, however, it's still an important name to know.
Best for: Luxury / Special Occasion / Classic Jazz Experience
π΅ Brown Sugar
Another long-established name in Bangkok's Jazz scene.
Brown Sugar makes more sense for someone interested in the live music itself than someone chasing a luxury setting.
Best for: Jazz Lovers / Live Music / Casual Night

π¦ Bluebird Jazz Bar
Bluebird offers a more intimate and relaxed character than some of Bangkok's larger or more luxurious Jazz venues.
It's a good option when you want to feel closer to the performance.
Best for: Intimate Jazz / Relaxed Night
π Thee & Thou β One to Watch β
Thee & Thou stands out through its concept and interior.
The Jazz is relatively accessible too, meaning you don't need to be a hardcore Jazz listener to enjoy the experience.
For now, we're keeping it at:
B+ β One to Watch
There's enough potential here to make it interesting, but we'd like to see more consistency and feedback before considering an A.
Best for: Date / Concept Bar / Accessible Jazz
πΈ Adhere The 13th Blues Bar
We originally placed Adhere The 13th in B.
After looking more closely at feedback around the venue, we've moved it up to B+.
Its strengths are almost the opposite of Bangkok's luxury Jazz rooms.
It's small, intimate and focused on Blues / Jazz without needing an expensive setting to create character.
Best for: Blues Lovers / Jazz / Casual / Intimate Venue
π· Foojohn Jazz Club
Foojohn is another venue we've moved from B to B+ after reviewing more feedback.
It's worth considering when you want a friendly, intimate Jazz Club rather than the polished atmosphere of a five-star hotel.
Best for: Jazz / Casual Night / Intimate Experience

π ±οΈ B β Good, But Check the Night
π Smalls Bangkok
Smalls has plenty of character and can be particularly interesting for people who enjoy more free-form or experimental music.
But there's one important reason we're keeping it in B:
Not every night is Jazz.
That doesn't make Smalls a bad venue.
It simply makes it a perfect example of why you should check the night's music programming rather than choosing a venue based on reputation alone.
Catch the right lineup for your taste and your experience could be completely different.

Which Bangkok Jazz Bar Should You Choose?
Instead of starting with:
βWhich Jazz Bar has the highest Google rating?β
Start with:
What kind of night do I actually want?
- β€οΈ Date Night β Alone Together / 008 / Crimson Room
- πΊ Jazz / Blues + Value β Saxophone
- π½οΈ Dinner + Jazz β Din
- π© Overall Experience + Live Music β Abandoned Mansion
- π Luxury Jazz β The Bamboo Bar
- πΈ Blues + Intimate Atmosphere β Adhere The 13th
The best Jazz Bar for a romantic date isn't necessarily the best Jazz Bar for someone who wants to focus seriously on the musicians.
π‘ Local Tip: Check the Musician, Not Just the Venue
This is one of the most important things to understand about live music:
Same venue β same experience every night.
Before heading out, check:
- π€ Who's playing tonight?
- π· What style of Jazz are they playing?
- π When does the performance start?
- πͺ Do you need a reservation?
- πΆ Is tonight actually Jazz?
Sometimes choosing the musician you want to hear is more important than choosing the most famous venue.

π Final Thought
Bangkok has a much more diverse Jazz scene than many visitors expect.
You can find old-school live music institutions, intimate Blues rooms, hidden speakeasies, experimental venues and polished five-star hotel Jazz barsβall in the same city.
That's why we don't think the best question is:
βWhat's the #1 Jazz Bar in Bangkok?β
A better question is:
βWhich Bangkok Jazz Bar is right for my night?β π·
Because ultimately, the best choice depends on the music, budget and experience you're looking for.
